An Admirals team kneels in the late-afternoon sun while a coach speaks to them at a field in Sacramento

Our story · Vacaville, California

Bigger than baseball.

The Admirals were formed with one goal in mind: preparing kids to play in college. Everything else grew out of how they chose to do it.

A level playing field

Same uniform. Same standard.

Admirals Baseball Club is a nonprofit youth baseball and softball organization founded by Dyron Rolling in Vacaville, California, to prepare young players for college baseball and for life.

On the Admirals, everyone is on a level playing field. There are no school rivalries, no socioeconomic differences, and no fear of failure. Every player wears the same uniform to practice, and they all work together.

To wear the A, a player keeps a 3.0 GPA and gives back at two charitable events a year. The club is not just creating ballplayers. It is creating the next generation of leaders in its community.

Traditions

What the Admirals do every year.

Annual

The Jacket Games

The club’s annual charity game. In 2020 it is where the first Lady Admirals were welcomed into the organization, each with a rose from a baseball player.

October

Trunk or Treat

More than ten years running. Players and families hand out candy and give back to kids in the neighborhood.

December

Alumni Homecoming

Admirals alumni come home from college to train at The ACE and spend time with the younger players.

February

The Crab Feed

The club’s biggest fundraiser, five years running, with crab, tri-tip, live music, auctions and a full house at The ACE.

The house word

Salute.

It’s painted on the wall at The ACE and it signs off nearly everything the club says. Salute to the players, the coaches, the families and the partners who make it work. And the motto that follows every Admirals athlete out the door: once an Adi, always an Adi.
